Buddhadeb addresses intellectuals in Kolkata

Kolkata, Apr 5 (IBNS) Former West Bengal Chief Minister Budhhadeb Bhattacharya on Saturday addressed a gathering of the intellectuals at Vidya Mandir Auditorium here amid a growing support of the people from art and culture to the ruling Trinamool Congress ahead of the upcoming general elections.

 

Bhattacharya said that the policies of UPA and NDA are almost same.
 
He also said that the Left shall put its endeavor to help form a government in New Delhi based on pro-people alternative policies.
 
Former speaker of the West Bengal Assembly Hasim Abdul Halim and people from cultural fields like Sisir Sen, Chitra Sen, Usha Ganguly,
Gouri Ghosh, Badsha Moitra, Azijul Haque, Abul Basar were  present in the programme.
 
 
Intellectuals and educationists including Soumitra Chatterjee, Sobha Sen, Biplab Banerjee, Avijit Bannerjee and others had sent their
letters expressing their support to the organizers.
