MN Reddy has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Police while Alok Kumar will take charge as the new Additional Commissioner of Police (Law & Order).
Earlier, child pornography videos, especially on school children rape, was found in the laptop and mobile of the skating instructor of the Bangalore school who was arrested in the case of the rape of a six-year-old girl, said reports on Monday.
Skating instructor Mustafa, also known as Munna, was working with the school since 2011. He was arrested on Sunday for allegedly raping a six-year-old girl inside school premises.
According to media reports, Mustafa is married and has a small daughter.
Police said the videos unveil his state of mind.
Coming under pressure, the Bangalore Police earlier had detained eight staff members of the international school in connection with the alleged rape of the six-year old girl inside the school premise.
The police also questioned as many as 90 people in the case and said it will require a day or two to book the culprit. Later the skating instructor was arrested.
Meanwhile, huge protests were underway in Bangalore.
The girl was allegedly raped inside a well known international school of Bangalore, Vibgyor High School, on July 2 by two gym instructors who had been arrested later. The girl reported the matter to parents a few days later.
Armed with hand-written posters, sloganeering protesters demanded immediate action against the perpetrators.
Earlier on Thursday, angry parents had also stormed the school when the management refused to take responsibility of the incident though it happened during school hours. Later the school chairman came out and assured his cooperation.
The victim’s parents had gone to the school on Thursday evening as part of the probe into the incident.
