Arunchal Pradesh President's Rule: Tuki express surprise over Union Cabinet's recommendation

Guwahati, Jan 24 (IBNS) : Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki on Sunday expressed surprise over Union Cabinet’s recommendation for imposing President's Rule in the bordering state with China.

Tuki said that there is no constitutional crisis in the state.

“I am shocked over the union cabinet’s recommendation. The cabinet’s recommendation is totally un-constitutional. The union cabinet had taken decision without consulting with the state government and all related matters under the Supreme Court. There have no any law and order situation created in Arunachal Pradesh,” Tuki said.

Tuki also said that the Arunachal Pradesh Governor Jyoti Prasad Rajkhowa had recommended to the union government to impose President’s Rule in the state without consulting with the state government.

“When any law and order situation created in the state, all have own creation by him (Governor),” Tuki said.

Meanwhile, attacking the Centre over the issue,  Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal tweeted:"Union Cab recommending Prez rule in Arunachal shocking. Murder of Consti on Rep D eve. BJP lost elections.Now acquiring power thro back door."
