Army rejects Pak's claim of killing five Indian soldiers

New Delhi, June 4 (IBNS): India has rejected Pakistan's claim of killing five Indian jawans in the Tatta Pani-Krishna Ghati sector along the LoC, media reports said.

The Indian army made such a statement even as the countries were engaged in exchange of fires along Line of Control.

A senior Indian army officer has called Pakistan's claims of killing five soldiers and destroying a bunker to be completely false.

"There has been no casualty on our side. Two civilians, including a woman, however, sustained injuries in the ceasefire violation by Pakistan, which began at 11 pm on Friday and continued till Saturday afternoon. We strongly reacted to it," The Times of India quoted an India officer as saying.

Pakistan's statement came after there were reports that Indian army killed five of the neighbouring country's soldiers  in "retaliatory fire assaults" across Poonch and Naushera sectors of LoC.
