After Davos, PM Modi to hold bilateral talks with ASEAN leaders in New Delhi

New Delhi, Jan 24 (IBNS): After addressing the plenary of the World Economic Forum on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is flying back to the country to hold bilateral meetings with ASEAN leaders on the sidelines of the Indian-ASEAN Commemorative Summit, beginning on Wednesday, media reports said.

The leaders will start to arrive in the national capital from Wednesday.

ASEAN countries include Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos and Brunei.

Modi will hold bilateral talks with Myanmar State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi, who will arrive in India on Thursday.

The Prime Minister is expected to engage into a discussion with the leaders of Thailand, Singapore and Brunei.

On Friday, he may hold talks with the leaders of Indonesia, Laos and Malaysia.

The ASEAN leaders will be received at the Rashtrapati Bhavan to lunch with President Ram Nath Kovind on Thursday.

The leaders will also join the parade of Republic Day on Jan 26.
