17 Gorkha Janmukti Morcha Councillors join BJP in New Delhi
New Delhi, June 8 (IBNS): In another major change in the political equation in West Bengal politics, 17 Councillors of the Darjeeling Municipality joined the Bharatiya Janata Party here.
They earlier belonged to the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM).
They joined the BJP in New Delhi in the presence of senior party leaders Mukul Roy and Kailash Vijayvargiya.

The Bharatiya Janata Party made a strong performance in the Lok Sabha polls this year in West Bengal.
They won 18 seats while the ruling Trinamool Congress managed to keep 22 seats.
The TMC lost 12 seats in comparison to its 2014 tally of 34.
