On this occasion, CEO at Benchmark Group Radhika Nowlakha Agarwal said: “This event is a great way of marketing your business as well as connecting people together.”

Design Head at MDJ, Rajshree Soni speaking to the media, said: “Couple No. 1 has become a tradition in our family and we have many more seasons yet to come. This is a show in which couples can relive their memories and adding jewellery to it is like adding cherry on cake.”

Founded in 1970 in Kolkata by Late Mahabir Prasad Soni, MDJ stands as a trusted name in the world of fine jewellery.

Led by his sons Binod, Kailash, and Jiwan, along with the third generation Vijay, Arvind, Amit and Sandeep Soni, the brand has grown into a professionally managed and integrated organization. Specializing in Gold, Kundan, Jadau, and Diamond jewellery, MDJ is recognized for its commitment to purity, authenticity, and design excellence – certified internationally.

The event was also graced by Vijay Soni, Director at MDJ who attributed Couple No. 1 to something the family is giving back to society.

“We test the couples’ compatibility, not their profile. The event is free of charge. It becomes a lifetime memory for the couples,” Vijay Soni.
