Kolkata's Kebab-E-Que launches 'Bangalir Bhuribhoj'

Kolkata, Apr 7 (IBNS) Kebab-E-Que, the restaurant of The Astor, is gearing up for a mega food-fest that will have a traditional Bengali feel to it.

The five day fest will start from Apr 11 and will conclude on Apr 15.

The restaurant will offer dishes to both vegetarian and meat lovers.

The veg menu consists of Aloo Jhuri Bhaja, Potol Bhaja, Narkel Diye Moonger Dal, Dhokar Dalna et al, while the non-veg section consists of delicacies such as Fish Orly, Pabda Macch Sorshe Diye, Chingrir Malaikari, Kochi Pathar Jhol to name a few.

It is priced at INR 999(inclusive of all taxes) for a single person.

Speaking about the quality of their food, Daljit Singh Sahney, President and Director, The Astor, told IBNS: “The quality of our food is excellent, we have an expert chef who takes great care in preparing every dish. The food is not that rich and has more proteins.”

Sahney said, “We have organized this event keeping in mind our traditional clientele which consists of middle class bengali families.”

Sanjay Sen Ray, Food and Beverage Manager, Kebab-E-Que told IBNS: “We have kept it simple and traditional, earthen wares in place of regular plates and dishes. The menu will change every day and this special menu is for the 15th.”
