Mumbai/IBNS: The 11th edition of KASHISH Mumbai International Queer Film Festival returns to Mumbai in May 2020.

One of India's top fashion designers Wendell Rodricks will judge the international poster contest being

held to design the look for the film festival.

The winner gets a cash prize of Rs 25,000, instituted by Rodricks. South Asia's biggest LGBTQ film festival will be held from May 20-24, 2020 in Mumbai. The theme for the festival, which will celebrate its 11th anniversary, is
"Moving Forward, Together!"

“As we send out a call for the best Poster for KASHISH 2020, I wish that the new poster reflects the ethos of our LGBTQ times in South Asia. We desire inclusivity to move forward for equality and dignity to move forward into the future for everyone in today’s world ” said Rodricks.

The winning design will be used on billboards (hoardings), banners, cinema slides, delegate cards, T-shirts and catalog cover. The submission form can be accessed at https://tinyurl.com/K19PosterForm

Festival Director Sridhar Rangayan said that the festival is now looking beyond after celebrating its 10th-anniversary last year.

“There is so much work to be done yet, in terms of spreading awareness about acceptance by families and society," said Rangayan.

The KASHISH theme this year is ‘Moving Forward, Together!’.
