Google doodles to celebrate Savitribai Phule's 186th birth anniversary

Mountain View, Jan 3 (IBNS): Web giant Google on Tuesday doodled to commemorate the 186th birth anniversary of social reformer Savitribai Phule.

Savitribai is the wife of Jyotirao Phule, an Indian activist and thinker.

Phule, who was also a poet, played an important role in the upliftment of women's status in pre-independent India.
