Google Doodle: Google pays homage to Verghese Kurien

Kolkata, Nov 26 (IBNS) Google on Thursday, paid homage to the 'Father of White Revolution', Verghese Kurien on his 94th birth anniversary.

Born in 1921, in a Syrian Christian family, Kurien was responsible for some big brands that emerged in India. Most notably, AMUL, GCMMF, NDDB, et al.

Dubbed as the 'Milkman of India', Kurien with his 'Operation Flood', the world's largest agricultural development programme, reshaped the domestic consumption pattern in India.

Apart from the Padma Awards, he is also the recipient of Ramon Magsaysay Award.
