Bengal Chamber adopts Gariahat, Jodhpur Park Markets in the sanitizing drive of Bengal government

Kolkata/IBNS: As per the request of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry volunteered to adopt two markets of South Kolkata- Gariahat and Jodhpur Park, for sanitization.

The chamber coordinated with Councilor, Ward No. 93 (Jodhpur Park Market), Councillor, Ward No. 68 (Gariahat Market) along with the Lake Police and Gariahat Police Stations respectively for the above two markets and organized to provide the sanitization resources including masks, gloves, hand sanitizers and detergents.

B B Chatterjee, president, The Bengal Chamber and Subhodip Ghosh, Director General, the Bengal Chamber visited the Jodhpur Park Market on Apr 14 along with Officer-In-Charge Lake Police Station and the Local Councillor Ward No 93.

On Apr 15, Chatterjee, Ghosh, Director General and Smarajit Purkayastha, Deputy Director General, The Bengal Chamber visited The Gariahat Market along with Officer-In-Charge Gariahat Police Station and the Local Councillor Ward No 68.

15 Litres sanitizers; 4 kg detergents, 400 pieces of reusable masks; 400 pairs of gloves for around 200 Stalls were handed over to Secretary, Jodhpur Bajar Samity in presence of the Local Councilor, Ward No. 93. Mr. S Radhakrishnan, Former President, The Bengal Chamber and a resident of Jodhpur Park area was also present.

20 Litres sanitizers; 6.5 kg detergents, 1500 pieces of reusable masks; 1000 pairs of gloves were handed over to Gariahat Bajar Samity In- Charge in presence of the Local Councillor, Ward No. 68.
