Wreckage of missing Indonesian plane found

Jakarta, Aug 16 (IBNS): The wreckage of an Indonesian plane, which went missing, in Papua region has been found, media reports said on Sunday.

According to reports, it has been found in the remote western Papua region.

BBC reporting quoting a transport official who said the aircraft had been found in the Bintang highlands region, not far from its intended landing site at Oksibil airport.

The plane had 54 passengers on board when it went missing.

The plane took off from Sentani at 14:21.

it is not clear so far whether anyone has survived.
