Washington/UNI: At least eight people were injured when gunfire broke out at a dance party in an industrial area of Tacoma in Washington, US, according to the police.

The shooting occurred at 12:45 am on Sunday (local time) at a private venue in South Tacoma, where police said the rave attracted a large crowd, according to ABC News

The police mentioned, "On June 26, at 12:45 a.m. (07:45 GMT), South Sound 911 received multiple reports of shots fired heard in the 5400 block of South Tacoma Way along with cars fleeing the area. Officers arrived to find a chaotic scene with a large crowd and multiple shooting victims."

The gunfire erupted during an argument that broke out in an alley behind the venue.

However, no fatalities were reported.

"Eight victims were taken to three different hospitals by ambulance and private vehicles," the police further said, while adding that the injured are in stable condition.
