US to revoke work permits to H4 visa holders within three months

Washington, Sept 22 (IBNS): The United States administration has informed the federal court that it will revoke work permits to H4 visa holders within three months, media reports said.

The move will have a significant impact on several Indian-American women.

Several Indian-American women had benefited from the policy during former US President Barack Obama's regime.

H4 visas were handed over by the US citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to immediate family members of H-1B visa holders.

The immediate family members include H1-B visa holder's spouse and children under 21 years of age.

The Department of Homeland Security will reportedly submit the new rule to the Office of Management of Budget (OMB), White House, within three months.

The Donald Trump administration is also reviewing H-1B visa policy which the US thinks being misused.

Even prior to coming to power, US President Trump had pitched in "America First" policy in his poll campaigns.
