US: Small plane crashes in close to Los Angeles, 2 die
At least two people, who were onboard, died after a small plane crashed into two homes in a Simi Valley neighbourhood close to the US city of Los Angeles on Saturday.
The pilot of the flight, a passenger and a dog were onboard the plane when it crashed in the 200 block of High Meadow Street near Wood Ranch Parkway.
The Federal Aviation Administration said that the aircraft was a Vans RV-10, which had taken off from William J. Fox Airfield in Lancaster and was heading to Camarillo Airport, reported CBS News.

Ventura County Fire Department said firefighters rushed to the scene and brought the flames under control.
"At approximately 1:51pm, VCFD was dispatched to reports of a small single engine, fixed-wing aircraft that crashed into structures with an active fire. Firefighters arrived on scene, began an aggressive fire attack and quickly knocked the fire down," police said in a statement.
"Both structures were occupied at the time of the accident, and our Firefighters assisted with evacuating residents," the X post said.
The Department said no people on the ground died due to the crash.
American Plane Crashes In 2025
The USA witnessed several plane crashes, resulting in fatalities, this year.
Last month, at least three people died after a small plane in which they were travelling crashed in Boca Raton, Florida, USA.
New York Chopper Crash
In the same month, at least six people, including three children, died after a helicopter, which they had boarded for sightseeing, crashed into the Hudson River in the US city of New York.
A major water rescue operation was initiated after the mishap occurred.
The victims included Agustín Escobar, a Siemens executive, and his family members died in the mishap.
According to reports, the family arrived in New York City from Spain.
A plane crash close to a mall in Philadelphia this year left at least seven people dead.
All the passengers in the plane and one person on the ground died in the mishap, media reports said.
Nineteen others were injured in the crash.
Washington DC Mishap
In another incident, at least 67 people died after an American Airlines plane collided with a US Army Black Hawk helicopter near Reagan National Airport in Washington DC.
