Kabul: The Taliban government in Afghanistan has asked China to help in gaining international recognition.

Deputy Minister of Information and Culture and spokesperson of the Taliban, Zabiullah Mujahid, was quoted as saying by Khaama Press on Sunday that China is one of the most important countries in the region, and having good relations with the country will be the Taliban’s great achievement.

Deputy Spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Bilal Karimi citing Zabiullah Mujahid said, the Taliban do not want to interfere in other’s affairs and that they will not allow others to do so either.

Removing the previous government, the Taliban entered Kabul city and took control over the Presidential Palace on Aug 15.

The Taliban took control over the country at a swift pace ever since the foreign forces started leaving Afghanistan.
