Kansas City, July 16 (IBNS): Kansas Police have shot dead the suspected killer of Indian student Sharath Koppu in the US, 10 days after the crime, media reports said.

Three cops were reportedly injured in the exchange of fire,  but they are stable, authorities said.

It was the first time police had laid eyes on the man after a week of searching.

Koppu, who hailed from Warangal in Andhra Pradesh,  was shot dead by the yet-unnamed gunman on July six during a suspected attempted robbery at a restaurant where he worked in the US state of Missouri.
