The forces attacked the terrorists after confirming their presence in the area.

Among the six persons who died in the operation was a key commander of the banned Khawarij group, identified as Mehmood alias Muhammad, reported Dunya News.

In a separate operation, four terrorists were killed when they attempted to attack a security forces camp in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan.

Sources told Dunya News a terrorist rammed a suicide vehicle carrying an improvised explosive device into a wall of a security camp.

At the same time, three other terrorists, who were armed with weapons, tried to enter the camp.

The terrorists were killed outside the camp.
