Pakistan: Iran hands over more than 306 Pakistanis

Chagai: Iranian authorities handed over more than 306 Pakistanis, who were arrested for not having valid travel documents, to the local administration at Taftan border in Chagai district of Pakistan on Sunday, media reports said.

According to official sources, these Pakistanis had been arrested in different parts of Iran for not having valid travel documents. Later, they were handed over to the Federal Investigation Agency for interrogation, Dawn News reported.

The detained people wanted to proceed to Europe via Iran, the Pakistani newspaper reported.

Sources told Dawn News the detained Pakistanis were screened and they tested negative for coronavirus.
