Islamabad, Jan 12 (IBNS) Pakistan on Tuesday strongly condemned the bomb blast in the Sultanahmet area of Turkey's Istanbul city, in which, according to initial reports, many precious lives have been lost and several are injured.

"We extend our heartfelt sympathies and condolences to all those who have lost their loved ones and pray for the speediest recovery of the injured," Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

"Pakistan reiterates its condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. We stand in strong solidarity with the fraternal government and people of Turkey in their struggle against terrorism. We are certain that Turkey would overcome this scourge with its characteristic resolve and determination," it said.

At least 10 people were killed in the blast.
