Pakistan: Blast close to car carrying wounded ASI in North Waziristan leaves eight people injured

North Waziristan: At least people, including a woman, were injured in a bomb attack  on a vehicle which was  carrying a wounded police official in the Ghulam Khan area of Pakistan, media reports said on Monday.

According to local media reports, the incident happened along the country's border with Afghanistan.

Unidentified people had attacked Assistant Sub-Inspector Aminullah inside his home at around 4am on Sunday, reports Dawn News.

“He was in the car and was about to be shifted when the explosion took place leaving eight people wounded,” a police official told the newspaper, adding that two women were among the victims.

He said the injured were taken to Khalifa Gul Nawaz Hospital in district Bannu and added that three of them were in critical condition.

A police team reached the spot and started investigating the incident.
