Pakistan: 50 hurt as blast rocks Peshawar mosque

Peshawar: At least 50 people were injured as a blast rocked a mosque in  Peshawar’s Police Lines area in Pakistan on Monday, media reports said.

According to Mohammad Asim, spokesperson of the Lady Reading Hospital (LRC), the injured persons are being moved to the medical facility, reports Dawn News.

Asim said the area has been completely sealed and only ambulances are being allowed to enter the locality.

The blast occurred at around  1:40pm.

According to security officials, the suicide attacker was present in the front row during the prayers when he exploded himself, injuring dozens of faithful offering Zohr prayers, reports Geo News.
