Pakistan: 23 people die as Rawalpindi-bound bus falls into ravine

Islamabad: At least 23 people died and nine people were hurt when   a passenger bus plunged into a ravine in Pakistan's Pallandri area on Wednesday, media reports said.

More than 30 passengers were on board the ill-fated bus, which was on its way to Rawalpindi, Geo News reported.

The bodies of those who died in the mishap were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

However, Poonch Deputy Inspector General Rashid Naeem Khan told Dawn News that 22 people had died in the accident.
