Pakistan: 13 suspected militants killed in Karachi

Islamabad, Dec 22 (IBNS) At least 13 suspected terrorists were killed during a police operation in Pakistan's Karachi city on Monday, media reports said.

According top reports, Malir Police headed by SSP Rao Anwar carried out the operation in Sohrab Goth locality.

The suspected militants were hiding in the area.

"Officials said the suspects resorted to firing after sensing danger. The police returned fire and after a shoot out, 13 suspected militants were killed," Dawn News.

"Police claimed the men were affiliated with the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)," it said.
