North Korea fires 2 short-range missiles into East Sea

Pyongyang, Mar 2 (IBNS): North Korea on Monday fired two short-range missiles into the East Sea, media reports said.

South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a release as released by country's Yonhap News Agency : "North Korea fired two short-range missiles with a range of some 490 kilometers into the East Sea from its western port city of Nampo between 6:32 a.m. and 6:41 a.m. today."

It was North Korea's fourth missile launch in 2015.

The missiles were fired at a time when South Korea and the US  kicked off their joint annual Key Resolve and Foal Eagle military exercises on the same day.
