Nepal: Bodies of two missing Indian tourists recovered
The bodies of two Indian tourists, who went missing on October 20, have been recovered from Nepal's Manang district, local media reports said.
Chief District Officer Naba Raj Poudyal told The Himalayan Times that the two deceased persons have been identified as Lallubhai Patel (52) and Priyansa Kumari Patel (17).
According to the newspaper, a security team led by Superintendent of Police Hira Bahadur GC from the Armed Police Force (APF) found the bodies buried under snow, about 100 metres above the Milarepa Monastery.
They had reportedly gone to the monastery from the Gyaltsen Hotel for sightseeing on October 20.
After they went out of contact, hotel authorities informed the APF Mountain Rescue Training Centre in Manang about them.
A search operation was initiated.
CDO Poudyal said the bodies will be sent to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for further probe.
