London, Aug 17 (IBNS): Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai has got into Oxford University and will be taking up classes there.

The UN Messenger of Peace shared the news via Twitter.

She will be taking up Philosophy, Politics and Economics.

"So excited to go to Oxford!! Well done to all A-level students - the hardest year. Best wishes for life ahead!" her tweet read.

She won the Nobel Prize at just 17 years of age.

Malala, who hails from Pakistan, became a household name following her battle with the Taliban.

She was shot in the head by the militants after she advocated for women rights and education.

However, after she was flown into the UK for treatment, she survived the scare and started life afresh.

She graduated school on Thursday morning.
