Living Arts Centre (LAC) re-brands itself on 20th anniversary

Mississauga, Sep 20 (IBNS): Living Arts Centre (LAC), a multi-faceted arts centre with vibrancy in a wide range of both visual and performing arts, unveiled its new branding in the 2017-2018 season on the centre’s 20th anniversary.

Natalie Lue, CEO of Living Arts Centre, said: "Thanks to the tireless efforts and unwavering support of so many dedicated board members, staff, volunteers, city officials, sponsors, patrons, and audiences … here we are 20 years later, stronger than ever before and on the verge of a new chapter-in-the-making of this preeminent facility.”

With a mission to promote Arts for Life, the centre plays host to hundreds of performing arts, educational, community, and corporate events and activities each year.

LAC is a dynamic and accessible gathering place for creativity that welcomes more than 400,000 discerning and culturally diverse visitors annually, a total of more than 5 million visitors since officially opening its doors on November 14, 1997, adding an exciting cultural dimension to Mississauga’s City Centre.

LAC’s new branding is inspired by the facility itself; the vibrant colours are similar to that of the beautiful stained glass windows in the Atrium, representative of the creative arts.

Those who frequent the Centre may also notice that the shape of the logo hints at the shape of the building.

Since Natalie Lue was appointed as the CEO of LAC in August 2016, the centre has partnered with a number of arts communities and organizations in the GTA such as The Canadian Arabic Orchestra, Mississauga Music, Aga Khan Museum and more, bringing in a variety of new programmes to the 2017-2018 season, rich in culture and diversity.
