Jalalabad: At least 11 killed, 13 injured in suicide blast

Jalalabad, Jan 17 (IBNS) A heavy explosion rocked the Afghan city of Jalalabad killing at least 11 people and injuring another 13, according to media reports.

Khaama Press reported that the suicide attack took place inside the guest house of Obaidullah Shinwari, member of the Provincial Council of Nangarhar.

The news have been confirmed by Ataullah Khogyani, a spokesperson for the governor of Nangarhar.

The Afghan agency quoted the spokesperson as saying that the blast took place when Shinwari was reuniting with his brother after the latter was kidnapped by ISIS few months ago.

Among the wounded are Shinwari and his brother.
