Saskatchewan, May 18 (IBNS): The coroner who probed the Humboldt Broncos crash has said the two victims were misidentified, media reports said.

Xavier Labelle, who had survived a injury, was mistaken to be an-18 year old player Parker Tobin.

But after Xavier woke up, he clarified the misunderstanding and said he is not Tobin.

Sixteen people including Humboldt Broncos head coach, Darcy Haugan, have been killed as a bus carrying the junior hockey team crashed with a truck in Saskatchewan highway on Apr 6.

The victims include players Adam Herold, Connor Lukan, Evan Thomas, Jacob Leicht, Jaxon Joseph, Logan Boulet, Logan Hunter, Logan Schatz, Stephen Wack, Parker Tobin, team personnel Brody Hinz, Darcy Haugan, Glen Doerksen, Mark Cross and Tyler Beiber.

The team was on its way to Game 5 of a semi-final against the Nipawin Hawks.
