Gaza explosion leaves 1 dead, 10 hurt

Gaza: At least one person was killed as an explosion rocked the Gaza region on Thursday.

The explosion left 10 others injured.

According to reports, the explosion hit a marketplace in Gaza.

The cause of the blast is still not known.

The blast in the Al-Zawiya area collapsed large parts of the house and damaged dozens of buildings and shops nearby, reports The Times of Israel.

Police explosives and engineering teams have now started investigating the cause of the blast.

Civil defense teams and the police controlled the fire which broke out after the blast.

The Israeli army signaled it wasn’t involved, calling the explosion an “internal matter” in Gaza, reported The Times of Israel.
