Free Baloch, Sindhi, Pashto: Anti-Pakistan crowd cries for Independence at Howdy, Modi!

Houston: In a major embarrassment for Islamabad, a group of Pakistan people raised slogans against their own country seeking Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's help to become independent while the Howdy, Modi! mega event was underway on Sunday.

In several pictures accessed by IBNS, anti-Pakistan people are seen with placards reading, "Free Balochistan", "Free Sindhi", "Free Pashto". Not to forget, the Baloch people have been crying for Independence from Pakistan for long.

Human rights activist Nabi Baksh Baloch told media ahead of the mega event, "We urge both US President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to help us to free Balochistan from Pakistan. We want to free Balochistan from the mass killing and genocide which are carried out by Pakistan. Pakistan does not want Baloch people but only the land of Balochistan."

Sindhi activist Zafar Sahito told media, "I would request PM Modi to free Sindh from Pakistan which is killing all Sindhis, Hindus, Christians."

In several rallies conducted in Houston, the anti-Pakistan people carried placards and banners reading, "Pakistan stop Christian persecution", "Save Pakistani Christians", Save Christian minorities in Pakistan".

Displaying the muscularity of the two nations' bonding, President Trump on Sunday joined PM Modi who addressed the Indian diaspora in Houston.

In a strong message to Pakistan without taking any name, Modi said, "We have taken steps like the abolition of Article 370 which has caused discomfort for some people who can't control their own nation."

In a veiled attack against Islamabad for exporting terrorism across the nation, the Prime Minister said, "Be it 9/11 in the US or 26/11 in Mumbai, the terrorists who made the attacks are fed by one nation," with Trump sitting in the audience.

India and Pakistan, the two nuclear-armed countries, have got their 70-year old bitter relationship at its lowest point after New Delhi scrapped Article 370 on August 5 to withdraw the special status which Jammu and Kashmir used to enjoy since Independence in 1947.

Though India repeatedly maintained that Kashmir is its internal issue, Pakistan, led by its Prime Minister Imran Khan, tried to internationalise the matter but with no positive response from any country including China which is known as "not-so-good" friend of India.
