Four killed in Afghanistan blasts

Kabul, Mar 23 (UNI): At least four people were killed while 10 others sustained injuries after two explosions rocked Lashkar Gah, capital of Afghanistan's southern province of Helmand during the New Year celebrations on Saturday, a local official said.

"Officials and ordinary people were celebrating the Afghan New Year and the National Farmers' Day in Lashkar Gah sports stadium in the morning. Two explosions went off during the ceremony at around 1000 hrs local time," the official said.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
