Kabul, Jul 31 (IBNS) : A suicide bomb explosion outside the Iraqi embassy rocked the Kabul city on Monday as a gun attack was made allegedly by ISIS members engaging security forces in a shootout, media reports said.

The incident took place in the vicinity of Shahr-e-Naw area of Kabul city.

There were no immediate reports of casualty.

Reports said that  an armed resistance is underway between a number of the insurgents and the security forces following the explosion.

the state-run Khaama Press quoted the  Ministry of Interior (MoI) officials as having confirmed that the attack was carried out on Iraqi embassy.

According to BBC, Civilians are being evacuated from the area.

It said so-called Islamic State has claimed to have carried out the attack.

Security officials said a suicide bomber targeted the area housing a police headquarters and the Iraqi embassy compound. Several other attackers appear to have entered the embassy building.
