Drug charges slapped on Toronto men caught while taking wrong turn in Canada-US border
Toronto, Dec 15 (IBNS): Two Toronto men were slapped with drug charges after 120 grams of suspected cocaine were seized from their car, according to media reports.
The police also recovered $10,000 from them.
Initially, the men were charged for taking a wrong turn in the Canada-US border, media reports said.
The incident occurred on November 22.
The RCMP and Canada Border Services Agency stated that the men were traveling in a rental car near Peace Bridge when they took a wrong turn in the border.
The officials stated that they stopped the car when the men took a turn to get back to Canada.
The age of the driver was 24 while the passenger was aged 25.
While the driver was charged with possession of substance for purpose of trafficking possession of proceeds, obstruction of justice and breach of probation; the passenger was charged with the same except obstruction of justice.
They will be produced at court on Dec 21.
