Dhaka: Bangladesh publishers attacked, 1 killed

Dhaka, Oct 31 (IBNS): A Bangladeshi publisher was hacked to death by unknown attackers in Dhaka on Saturday, media reports said.

He was identified as Faisal Arefin Dipan. He used to run 'Jagriti Prokashony'.

Another publisher Ahmedur Rashid Tutul was attacked with sharp weapons by unknown attackers earlier in the day at Lalmatia area. He used to run a publishing house named ‘Shuddhaswar’.

"Tutul is being treated at DMCH along with writer Ranadipam Basu and blogger Tarek Rahim, who were also injured in the attack," bdnews24.com reported.

They are currently undergoing treatments in a hospital, reports said.
