The decomposed body of a 32-year-old Pakistani actress was found inside a flat in Karachi city, media reports said.

The deceased actress was identified as Humaira Asghar Ali.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) South Zone Syed Asad Raza confirmed the development and told Dunya News that Ali’s body was found in a flat at Ittehad Commercial, Phase VI.

He added that the Gizri police had arrived at the flat around 3:15 pm to execute a court order for its evacuation.

The police broke the lock and found the body inside the flat after no one responded.

The actor was staying in the flat for rent.

DIG Raza told Dunya News that the preliminary observations suggest the body is several days old, but the cause of death remains unclear pending further investigation.

Her body was sent to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for legal formalities.

The actress worked in ARY’s reality show Tamasha Ghar and played a role in the 2015 film Jalaibee.
