Canada PM Justin Trudeau congratulates Domee Shi, Paul Massey for winning Oscars

Ottawa, Feb 26 (IBNS): Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has congratulated Domee Shi and Paul Massey for winning the 91st Academy Awards in distinct categories.

Domee Shi, a director from Toronto, has won for animate short film, Bao. Shi has written and directed Bao. Massey, who is also a Canadian, won the Best Sound Mixing Award for Bohemian Rhapsody, which is a 2018 biographical film about the British rock band Queen.

Trudeau tweeted, "What a night for Canadian talent at the #Oscars – congratulations to Domee Shi for winning best animated short for Bao, and to Paul Massey for winning best sound mixing for Bohemian Rhapsody. "

Peter-Farrelly directorial American comedy-drama film, Green Book, won the Best Picture Award in the Academy Awards.

Rami Malek has won the Best Actor Award for Bohemian Rhapsody.

Olivia Colman has won the Best Actress Award for film The Favourite.

Alfonso Cuaron has won the best director award for Roma.

Lady Gaga, Mark Ronson have won the best original song for A Star Is Born.
