Bangladesh now houses 106 mln internet users

Dhaka: The total number of Bangladeshi internet users has reached 106 million as the first seven months of 2020 witnessed the addition of nearly seven million new users in the country, claimed the country's telecom regulator recently.

Statistics released by the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) showed that the number of subscribers in the country reached 106.410 million by the end of July.

The data disclosed that there were 97.840 million mobile internet and 8.57 million broadband internet users in the south Asian nation.

A report by Xinhua stated that the country's total number of mobile phone subscribers has reached 164.282 million by the end of July.
