Dhaka: Bangladesh's anti-terrorism unit officials arrested two suspected members of banned militant outfit Hizb ut-Tahrir, media reports said on Monday.

They were arrested from a house in Dhaka’s Banani area on Sunday, ATU ASP (media) Wahida Parveen said in a press release as quoted by Dhaka Tribune.

The arrested people were identified as Khalilur Rahman, 28, and Imran Hasan, 25.

ASP Wahida told the newspaper that a team of the ATU, acting on a tip-off, conducted a raid in the capital’s Banani area and arrested the two.

Six mobile phones were also recovered from them.
