Bangladesh: ‘Neo JMB’ spiritual leader Kashem arrested

Dhaka, Mar 3 (IBNS): Bangladesh security officials have arrested the alleged spiritual leader of “Neo JMB”, media reports said on Friday.

According to Bangladesh media reports, Neo JMB is an offshoot of banned militant outfit  Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB).

He has been identified as Maulana Abul Kashem.

Kashem is considered to be a key plotter in the Gulshan café attack last year which killed at least 20 people, including foreigners,  in the capital city.

A Bangladesh court on Friday send him to seven-day remand in connection with a case filed over Gulshan café attack
