Kabul: The Taliban government has said their security forces have destroyed  an important ISIS hideout in the capital city of Kabul, media reports said.

Taliban spokesperson Zabiullah Mujahid was quoted as saying by Khaama Press that three important Islamic State (ISIS) members were killed late on Tuesday night after Taliban security forces attacked an important hideout during a special operation in Kabul’s provincial district 12.

He also said that several weapons, grenades, explosives, many remotes, and much mine-making equipment were seized during the operation.

The statement added that ISIS used the hideout to plan and carry out an attack on holy places and civilians of Kabul in the month of Ramadan, which was discovered and destroyed in advance, Mujahid said.
