Taliban-ruled Afghanistan's Supreme Court has announced that four people, including a woman, were publicly flogged for allegedly being accused of committing “immorality” in the Paghman district.

According to a news release, these people were arrested from the Kargha area of Kabul, adding the Taliban officials sentenced the convicts to three months imprisonment, reports Khaama Press.

Taliban’s Supreme Court on Wednesday, July 12, in a press release stated that after the verdict was issued, Taliban officials publicly lashed criminals in the Paghman district court in the presence of government officials and some common people.

According to reports, the convicts were sentenced to twenty lashes and one-month imprisonment.

The Taliban came to power in Afghanistan in 2021.
