Afghanistan suicide attacks kill 24

Kabul, Sept 5 (IBNS): Twin suicide bombings which rocked Afghanistan capital Kabul on Monday left at least 24 people killed.

The attacks left 91 others injured.

The attacks occurred at around 3:30 pm.

Mohammad Ismail Kawasi, the Public Health Ministry spokesman, was quoted as saying by Pajhwok Afghan News that 24 people were killed and another 91 wounded in the twin blasts.

The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attacks.

The areas have been cordoned off by security forces.

Injured were rushed to hospital for treatment.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid was quoted as saying by Pajhwok Afghan News taking responsibility for the twin bombings which he said killed and wounded several MoD officials.
