Afghanistan: At least 76 militants killed in a 5-day commando operation in Kunduz

Kabul, Dec 11 (IBNS): At least 76 militants were killed in a five-day commando operation in Afghanistan's Kunduz province, local Tolo News reported.

The strikes were carried out in Imam Sahib district of the province.

Confirming the report, Jawed Salim, spokesperson of the Afghan National Army Commando Corps, said that dozens of militants were injured along with the deceased.

However, he added that during the operations, an army officer was killed and two commandos wounded.

The militants belonged to the Taliban outfit, who has not yet commented on the report.
