Air India announces launch of new flights for Kumbh Mela in Allahabad

New Delhi, Jan 5 (IBNS): National carrier Air India has announced new flights to Allahabad from Delhi, Ahmedabad and Kolkata for the upcoming Kumbh Mela to be hosted in the Uttar Pradesh city.

The new flights will operate from Jan 13.

Allahabad will host the Kumbh Mela from Jan 15 to Mar 4.

Air India tweeted: "#FlyAI: Discover #Kumbh with #airindia introducing #newflights to #Prayagraj (IXD) from #Delhi #Kolkata & #Ahmedabad w.e.f 13th January, 2019. For details kindly visit our website on http://www.airindia.in  @PrayagrajKumbh."

Kumbh mela is a mass Hindu pilgrimage of faith in which Hindus gather to bathe in a sacred or holy river.
