WTC 6th day lunch: New Zealand bowlers keep things tough for India, Pant remains strong hope
Southampton: Rishabh Pant is holding the fort by scoring unbeaten 28 runs and Ravindra Jadeja is giving him a strong company at the other end as India is struggling at 130 for the loss of five wickets at lunch on the sixth day of the World Test Championship final here on Wednesday.
Virat Kohli (13), Cheteshwar Pujara (15) and Ajinkya Rahane (15) departed early as the New Zealand fast bowling wing kept things tough for India.
Pant is expected to be the last saviour for India which is struggling against the Kiwi fast bowlers.
He hammered four boundaries in his 48-ball 28 run knock.
India are currently 98 runs ahead of New Zealand.
Kyle Jamieson and Tim Southee picked up two wickets for New Zealand.
