World T20: India beat Bangladesh by 1 run

Bangalore, Mar 23 (IBNS) In a thrilling encounter, India beat Bangladesh by 1 run in a group stage match of the ICC WorlD T20 here on Wednesday.

Putting up 146 runs for the loss seven wickets, Indian bowlers restricted Bangladesh at 145 runs for the loss of nine wickets.

Needing 10 runs from the last over, Bangladesh batsman Mushfiqur Rahim (11) hit two consecutive but Hardik Pandya came back strongly by taking two wickets to bring back India into the match. A run out in the last ball of the match helped India clinch a crucial victory over the neighbouring nation.

Tamim Iqbal top scored for Bangladesh with his 35 runs.
