Ranchi/IBNS: Whitewashing South Africa in the home ground, Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli said his team didn't allow the opposition in the game at any stage.

"We can't allow negativity to creep in. We didn't allow the opposition in the game at any stage," said a contended Kohli.

India defeated South Africa in the third Test by an innings and 202 runs, clinching the series 3-0.

Speaking about his pace bowlers' superb performance in the third Test, Kohli said, "Pacers have done the damage."

"The pitch in Ranchi was the one where a team will get the result if their skills are executed well and in a disciplined manner."

In reply to India's 497/9 declared in the first innings, South Africa were bowled out for 162 and 133 in the two innings by the Indian bowlers.

Rohit Sharma was the star of the match as he slammed a double ton in the only innings India had batted.

Rohit scored 212 off 255 balls while Ajinlkya Rahane scored 115 runs.
